C. The U.S. Backed down and and allowed the soviets to place missiles in Cuba.
D. Kennedy and Khrushchev secretly agreed to divide the island of Cuba between the U.S. And the Soviet Union.
Please help.:)

Answers

None of those are actually true. The Soviet Union didn't have any missiles in Turkey, it was actually the U.S. that had ICBMs near the Caucuses. They would later be dismantled because of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Khrushchev certainly didn't agree to allow American forces to occupy Cuba and Remove Castro. The U.S. didn't back down, President Kennedy stood his ground and eventually Khrushchev removed the missile sites from Cuba. Lastly, Kennedy and Khrushchev didn't divide the island of Cuba between the U.S. and the USSR. What actually happened was that Khrushchev agreed to remove Russian missiles from Cuba in exchange for a promise from the United States to respect Cuba’s territorial sovereignty

During the 1800s, an important pull factor for immigrants to the United States was1) religion persecution.
2) freedom of speech.
3) industrial jobs.
4) agricultural jobs.

Answers

3) industrial jobs.

Jobs became available in the US due to a large industrial boom creating a need for many unskilled laborers.

A "pull factor" is a reason a person comes to a certain region, area, or country. In the 1800's the US was a hot spot for immigrants because there were a large number of industrial jobs available. The industrial revolution began in the US in the decades prior to the Civil War with the biggest part of the boom taking place after the war's conclusion. The factories, mining industries, and other connected industries created a need for unskilled and cheap labor. This pull brought immigrants from all over Europe as well as East Asia.

A pull factor in immigration is any factor that encourages individuals to leave their home country and move to a different one. In the case of the United States in the 1800's, the main pull factor was 3) industrial jobs. The industries in the United States were taking off at this time and immigrants looked to capitalize on this. Although the industrial jobs were the main pull factor, religious prosecution and freedom of speech also played a large role in the immigration of people to the United States.

Describe the change that took place in the African slave trade in the 1500s. Describe the Middle Passage and its toll on people.

Answers

Before the 1500's Africans had been sold as slaves to North African Arab traders. However in the early 1500's the Spanish and Portuguese became active in the slave trade(exchanging manufacture goods for slaves) and sending slaves to the West Indies or the Middle Passage where they would then be dropped off and sold. The Middle Passage was a boom for slave trade as the Portuguese and Spanish traders would pile up as many slaves as possible in a boat and then trade them for huge profits. However, when the slaves were piled up in the boat, they experienced terrible conditions such as diseases and even death, as well as being chained for the majority of their time on the boats.

Answer: A. Enslaved people were sent to the americas by spanish and Portuguese as laborers.

Explanation:Slavery has been a concept that lived with humanity for a long time, but the Portuguese and Spanish changed it deeply. Before them, slavery was connected with those who lost a war or had debts or were born is a low social class.

With the Spanish and the Portuguese, they started to explore the Continent of Africa and use Africans as slaves in the Americas. This started around the 1500s and lasted a few centuries. With this exploration, slavery became directly linked to race and color of the skin, something that did not happen before the exploration of the African countries.
