An airport offers two shuttles that run on different schedules.If both shuttles leave the airport at 4:00 p.m.,at what time will they next leave theairport together...shuttle A leaves every 6 minutes, shuttle B leaves every 9 minutes

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: I think collegerocksmath has the right idea but if the least common multiple is 18. Then the shuttle will be leaving together every 18 minutes. So they would leave together again at 4:18pm.
Another easy way would be to make a list of the times the shuttle would leave and then find the matching pair of times.

Shuttle A leaves every 6 minutes so:
4:00pm
4:06pm
4:12pm
4:18pm
4:24pm

Shuttle B leaves every 9 minutes so:
4:00pm
4:09pm
4:18pm
4:27pm

I did 1 extra time in each so that you can see that the time that matched would be 4:18pm and why that would be so.

Hope this helps!
Answer 2
Answer: you have to find the least coomen multiple to get the answer. you have a choice to do a venn diagram, ladder method or a factor tree. what I did was list down the multiples of 6 and 9. After I did that I got an answer of 18. That is your answer to your problem. The shutters will leave together at 6:00 A.M (double check beacause I was having a hard time trying to answer this question for u) I hope u get this right
bye and your welcome

simple interest: I = P • r • t

Answer:_______

Answers

I was about to give you the formula you need,
but I see you already have it.

Simple interest:   I = P · r · t

      Interest = (Principle) · (rate) · (time)

The question says ...

Principle = $12,550
Rate = 2.7%        (that's 0.027)
Time = 5 years

Now it's your turn.
Write the numbers into the formula,  and calculate the interest.
The short answer is $1,694.25.  To get this answer you plug it into the equation, so P would be $12,550, r would be .027, and t would be 5, so it would look like this in expanded form:
I=12,550*.027*5.
If you do the math from there, simple multiplication, you will get my answer.  I hope this helps, have a nice day! :)

What are mean, median, and mode?

The three main methods for identifying the average value of a set of integers are mean, median, and mode.

Adding the numbers together and dividing the result by the total number of numbers in the list yields the arithmetic mean.

The middle value in a list that is arranged from smallest to greatest is called the median.

The value that appears the most frequently on the list is the mode.

The mean of the dot plot is (3 + 2 + 5 + 4 + 1 + 6)/6.

mean = 21/6.

mean = 3.5.

As the number of data is even the median is half of the two middle terms.

median = (5 + 4)/2 = 4.5.
