Answer 1
Answer:

Answer:

Johnny loves his parents and tries to do everything he can to get their approval. No one matters as much to him as his parents do and no one can take their place. No matter how abusive his parents are he still tries to make them proud and happy. The violence in his home makes him very shy and kind. It also causes him to be a people pleaser; he tries to please others no matter how it effects his happiness. Towards the end of the book he stops caring about how his parents feel and he hates them. He hates them for hurting him even when he did nothing wrong and only tried to make them happy. He hates them for not loving him and for not noticing the things he does to make them happy, and not being proud of him and thankful for him.

The teacher selected the student _____ she could trust. who whom

Answers

Answer:

Whom

Explanation:

While "whom" is a pronoun that refers to the subject of a sentence, "whom" refers to the object of a verb or a preposition, meaning that "whom" does not perform the main action, but, instead, it receives the action, or it can be found near a preposition such as "to" and "from".

In the sentence, the missing pronoun should refer to the student, and since the student is the object of the verb "selected" (because it is the one that is receiving the action and not performing it), the correct pronoun is "whom."

The answer is whom she can trust.
