Once, a very long time ago, a man named Amak awoke in the morning and was very hungry—he wanted some dinner. Before the sun rose over the mountains, he left his family and promised to bring food home to them. Amak, whose stomach growled, knew his family was famished—and so was he. As he trudged along, Amak realized he had been walking for a long time. He wanted to find food quickly and take it home to his family.2Amak walked through the forest to find food. He looked into the trees to find birds and scoured bushes hoping to find a rabbit. He became frustrated when he found nothing. Amak knew he had to keep searching, though, because his family was counting on him.

Answer:

" sun rose over the mountains"

"walked through the forest"

These kinds of phrases help us know what is going on in the story. For example, if the story said, "Amak walked for a while to find some food", we don't know where he is, or why he would be looking for food while he was walking. For all we know he could me walking around his house.

Setting is really impotent because it gives the readers visuals. A good writer will help the reader see the area around the character and help them visualize what is happening.

Hope this helps :)

Explanation:

Lewis Carroll's children’s fantasy story Alice's Adventures in Wonderland tells the story of a young girl named Alice and her adventures through the fairy-land of Wonderland. This book remains one of the most famous and read books of children fiction.

The given events are from the first chapter of the novel. While Alice and her sister were sitting on the riverbank when she saw a White Rabbit hopping along, checking its watch and hurrying along as if it was late for something. Alice follows the rabbit and fell through the rabbit hole into a huge passageway with huge halls with numerous doors. She couldn't open anyone of them and was curious to know what lies beyond those doors. Then she saw a golden key on a three-legged table made of solid glass and tried to open the doors with it. But the key wouldn't fit in the locks for they were too big for the tiny golden key.

Desperate for another way out, she discovered a small door behind a curtain. When she tried the tiny key, it fitted and opened the door but she couldn't get through because she was too big for the tiny door. Then she saw a bottle that says "Drink me" which she did, but not before carefully checking it for poison or something else.

Even though I cannot write the whole story here, I can give you some topics below that you can develop into the story.

1. A popular kid in your school all of a sudden begins talking to you because he/she thinks you are an electric guitar player (or some other instrument).

2. You are so excited about the idea of being part of the coolkids that you lie about your skills, making it seem that you are a proficient musician.

3. The story spreads, and now every one at school thinks you are the coolest.

4. You make friends and start hangingout with them at the park and the mall.

5. One day, one of your new friends invites you to his party. There is band there, but the guitar player feels sick.

6. Everyone asks you to step up and play. After all, you are incredibly proficient, so it should not be a big deal for you.

7. You have to admit that you cannot play the guitar.

8. End the story by expressing how much you regret lying and how embarrassed you feel. This is where you can use "Never will I do that again."

When writing a story like the one exemplified above, there are a few things we must try to do:

  • Give details: When you describe something or someone vividly, readers get more immersed in the story.
  • Do not rush: Develop each part of the story properly, otherwise readers will not understand how and why we got somewhere in the plot.
  • Explain your thoughts and feelings: Especially if the story is narrated in first person, make sure to let readers know how the events made you feel.

Dear diary, you are not going to believe this. I meet up with my friends at Walmart so that we could mess around. We played with the big bouncy balls in the ball section and it knocked over the board game display. A Walmart worker came over a yelled at us. We thought it was funny and continued to try and make the worker mad. We played with the lights, the water fountains, and the overhead speakers. We where having so much fun until I brought up the idea of pulling the fire alarm. My friends though it was a great idea so I did it. Everyone started screaming and yelling and rushing out of the building. People where looking for their kids and there family. People where getting pushed over and trampled on. When the fire fighters found out there was no fire the worker that we had been messing with had known it was us and told the cops. The cops brought us to the station and called our parents and we got in so much trouble. Never will I do that again!
