What is a region?

Regions in geography are areas that are broadly differentiated by physical features, human impact features, and the interaction of people and the environment. Regions are also known as zones, lands, or territories.

An area of terrain with recurring characteristics is called a region. Features that are either natural or man-made can characterize a region. As well as trees, wildlife, and climate, a region might be defined by its language, governance, or religion.

Large or small, regions are the fundamental geographical units. Any nation, including the United States, can be considered a formal region, as can a state's linguistic area.

Therefore, Option D is correct.

Why did Thomas Jefferson not attend the Constitutional Convention in 1787? He was against the formation of a new government. He was serving as minister to France. He was serving as minister to Great Britain. He was not asked to be a delegate.

Answers

Answer: He was serving as a minister in France

Explanation:

Several prominent Founders were absent from the Constitutional Convention. Thomas Jefferson was in Paris, serving as the minister to France, from where he deemed the delegates as “an assembly of demigods”.

John Adams didn´t participate either, also because he was abroad, serving as minister to Great Britain.

Samuel Adams and John Hancock did not participate either, and Patrick Henry turned down the invitation claiming that he “smelt a rat in Philadelphia, tending toward the monarchy

The original states, except Rhode Island, collectively appointed 70 individuals to the Constitutional Convention, but a number did not accept or could not attend. ... In all, 55 delegates attended the Constitutional Convention sessions, but only 39 actually signed the Constitution.

How did the eighteenth amendment outlawing alcohol both reflect and deepen the cultural divisions?

The eighteenth amendment outlawing alcohol impacted the alcohol consumption of the general public. Decrease in alcohol consumption happened in low income families. However, illegal production and distribution of alcohol gave rise to organized crime and because of this consumption also began to rise.

Why did Spanish settlers turn to Africa slaves to provide the labor for their American colonies

Answers

There were a couple of reasons why Spanish settlers turned to African slaves to provide labor for their american colonies:
1) The Indian slaves that they had there were already decimated by the diseases brought by the Spanish conquistadors, which left very few of them. As production rates increase, the Spanariads found it harder to find more workers.
2) The African slaves were MUCH more cheaper then if they hired workers from Spain, for all they had too do was go there, take them away by the gunpoint, and then bring them over too the Americas too be sold. (not saying its a good thing, but facts are facts)

etc etc..

hope this helps
