The Earth Needs Water!

The Earth has many life-threatening problems caused by humans. One of these problems is the over-consumption of water. If we knew that overusing water caused this, perhaps we would be able to come up with solutions and take action to stop this problem.

Humans are one of the main causes of water over-consumption. Many people tend to overuse it, even if they don’t need to. Various countries such as Canada use ten to twenty times more water than the average amount that human’s need. Furthermore, Environment Canada has declared that water scarcity is estimated to become a worldwide problem in 2020, due to water pollution and over-consumption. Only 1% of Earths water is drinkable, which means that if we waste it, we won't have enough for everybody. Not having a sufficient amount of water is a serious problem facing approximately a third of the world’s population in the coming generations. Lack of water can cause many diseases, dehydration, malnutrition, and a few billion dollars in damage to the environment. All of these consequences are bound to happen if we do not take small steps to help the natural world.

In order to protect this precious resource, people need to use it more responsibly. All humans should try to reduce water use as much as they can. This means that they have to save water by using it in more useful ways in order to protect the precious resource while it’s still available.
An example of a way to solve this problem is greywater. Every individual that uses greywater at they’re house saving a lot of water. Grey water help this environment by lessening the amount of water by reusing the water from the showers, kitchens, laundry for all yard necessaries. This method can help reduce pollution, heath risks, and it will extend the amount of water we have in the future. Therefore, people should be using water when it’s needed, not necessarily just when it’s wanted.

There are many solutions out there that we can use to stop over-consumption of water. We can all start by taking small steps to a bright future by turning off the tap water while brushing our teeth. We can also refrain from flushing the toilet so many times when it is not truly necessary. Perhaps we could shorten the duration of time we spend taking showers. We can even use buckets instead of hoses to wash our bikes and cars. These may seem like small things, but they are really huge ways to help our loving environment. Essentially, solving over-consumption of water is in the power of the people.

The over-consumption of water is a growing issue we face today. We should all think twice before keeping the water running in the mornings. Everything we do now is going to have an effect on us in the future. The world should make sure our futures are extended and delightful by not overusing water to ensure that we always have plenty in stock.

Answers

Dramatic irony is when the words and actions of the characters of a piece of literature have a different meaning for the audience than they do for the characters. In a comedy, for instance, the dramatic irony might be in the form of a misunderstanding between the characters that creates a comedic situation. See Shakespeare's Comedies for that. There can be 'situational irony' and 'verbal irony' too. The effect is to make the readers or the audience smile .

This should be: The poem "Oranges" is written by Gary Soto and is about a young man on a date with his girl on a cold December day.
"Oranges" is in quotes because if you state an article or a book that you have read, you either put it in quotes or underline or even sometimes slant it to show that you have pulled it from a certain source. Most commonly, you use quotes. Another example of that is:
When reading "Insurgent", I had a sudden burst of anxiety.
OR
Harry Potter is about a series of books about wizards and magic.
OR
A Little Princess is about a young girl who goes from riches to rags but stays a princess inside.
Hope this helps!!! (:

In peer groups, you can generate many ideas as possible, other people are there to help out and if they are motivated then you get to think of positive thoughts to work harder also. However, conflicts may arise with the clash of ideas and other members might depend too much on other members to the point of not helping the group.

Two main clauses are connected by a coordinating conjunction and a comma, or they are connected by a semicolon and no coordinating conjunction.

Using Coordinating Conjunctions

Use coordinating conjunctions to indicate that the elements they join are equal in importance and in structure.

Definition of Coordinating Conjunctions

Coordinating conjunctions join grammatically similar elements (two nouns, two verbs, two modifiers, two independent clauses):

How to punctuate coordinating conjunctions

When a coordinating conjunction joins two independent clauses, a comma is used before the coordinating conjunction (unless the two independent clauses are very short).

Conjunctions that are not followed by non-essential elements should never be followed by commas.

Perhaps no budget is without some fat, but university officials argue that their unique function requires special standards of evaluation.

When either independent clause in a compound sentence contains a comma to set off introductory or non-essential elements, a reader may be confused by a comma before a coordinating conjunction. In this case, a semicolon may replace the comma.

The figures at elite universities, particularly, are enough to cause sticker shock; yet the current increases at many schools are the lowest in a decade.

When NOT to punctuate coordinating conjunctions

If a sentence begins with a coordinating conjunction, it is not followed by a comma

Yet the typical tenured professor's salary of $43,500 still represents 10% less buying power than the equivalent salary in 1970.

Commas are not used between two verbs, two subjects, two complements, or two objects joined by a coordinating conjunction.

That confuses most analogies between universities and profit-making enterprises. [compound object of preposition]

Endowments and gifts make up the rest. [compound subject]
