Express your opinion about the need for more research into the safety of genetically modified organisms. Is this research necessary or not?

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: Farmers should discontinue the use of Bt corn (genetically modified maize)as their negative affects on the health of the consumers have not been fully over ruled by the recent research. In my opinion, genetically modified crops, although, are resistant to various pests, should not be encouraged because of the toxic chemical contents used during their production. There's a strong likelihood of these toxic chemicals entering our food chain and also being harmful to other naturally growing plants, hence there's a need for more research before this idea is pursued.
Answer 2
Answer: No, because GM maize has caused controversy with respect to possible health effects,
And also, the use of GM o can cause ill , pain, sickness, or even death in some serious cases

Hope this helps

How much heat energy (in megajoules) is needed to convert 7 kilograms of ice at –9°C to water at 0°C? A. 3.26 MJ
B. 2.48 MJ
C. 3.09 MJ
D. 2.13 MJ

Answers

The heat required to change the phase of a substance can be calculated by using the formula,

q = mCΔT where q is the heat needed, m is the mass of the substance, C is the specific heat capacity and ΔT is the change in temperature.

q = 7000 g (4.18 J/ g °C) (0°C - (-9°C))
q = 263340 J or .26334 MJ

I think the answer is not given in the choices.

I think the answer is B. 2.48 MJ, correct me if I’m wrong I’m studying  this

Explain why inflammation cannot occur in an ameba or in a dead body. Does inflammation have beneficial or noxious effects on the human body?

Answers

Answer:

Inflammation occurs only in live tissues and multicellular organisms

Explanation:

Inflammation is a response to foreign antigen by the bodies immune system. Where chemicals from the white blood cells are released to the blood or affected tissue.

It cannot occur in dead bodies because the cells are dead too.

Amoeba is a single celled organism that cannot posses the complex components of the immune system.

Inflammation helps eliminate the initial cause and initiates tissue repair

Due to increase of blood flow to the affected region, it may cause redness and pain.

What is a cell?

The smallest unit of life is a cell. It is composed of biomolecules. Every living thing is composed of several cell units. Different sorts of creatures contain various types of cells.

The cell divides to form the other cell. This process if called cell division. Cell division occurs during mitosis. All eukaryotic cells go through the process.

There are four stages to the process. The cell divides during the procedure. A daughter cell that is identical to the parent cell is created.

The destination region refers to the set of cells that will get copied cell content. The cell copies the full contest for another cell.

Thus, the correct option is a. destination area.
