Nixon claims

Senator Kennedy has suggested that he believes he knows the way.I respect the sincerity with he–which he makes that suggestion, but on the other hand, when we look at the various programs that he offers, they do not seem to be new. They seem to be simply retreads of the programs of the Truman administration which preceded him, and I would suggest that during the course of the evening he might indicate those areas in which his programs are new, where they will mean more progress than we had then.

Two planes, which are 1810 miles apart, fly toward each other. Their speeds differ by 55 mph. If they pass each other in 2 hours, what is the speed of each?

Answers

for this problem what i did was take 1810 and divided by 4 (2 for it taking 2 hours and 2 more for there being 2 planes) to find the average speed of each plane and go 452.5. then i added and subtracted (individualy) 55/2 (27.7) to get the answers of 480 and 425. so one plane is going 480 miles per hour while the other plane is going at 425 miles per hour in the opposite direction.

One of the main problem in the world today is unemployment.discuss some of the strategies that can be used to tackle unemployment

Answers

I have one proposal to tackle unemployment: splitting some contracts into smaller ones.

I have noticed that often people struggle with a lack of work, and when they find a job, they struggle with free time, but have more money that they can reasonably need - so they end up spending it on the things they don't actually need.

If we however split their job into two of 20 hours a week each (rather than 40), two people could benefit from the money, but both people could also have more time to think about spending this money better and to pursue their other interests. I also believe that the quality of work would increase.

I really believe that smaller contracts is a good way to tackle unemployment and that it also has potential other benefits, such as more effective work and happier society.
