How do i divide negative numbers

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: Divide normally but if you are dividing 2 negative number the answer will be positive but if you have a negative and positive number the answer will be negative
Answer 2
Answer: well for example if you have just 1 or and odd (1,3,5 etc.) amount of negitive numbers in the equation then you divide it normaly and then put a negitive sign in front of your answer. But if you have an even number of negitives, like 2, then you divide normaly and DO NOT add the negitive sign to your answer. (you can remember it if you think odd negitives=negitive and even negitives= positive)

ex. -9÷3 there is an odd number of negitives so you know the answer will be negitive so put a negitive sign to not forget. = -? then you forget about the signs and solve the equation. =3 then put it together and you get = -3

same for even amount of negitive numbers but you dont place the negitive sign and completly forget about negitives. good luck

kalil’s monthly salary is 3,250 plus he earns 1.4% commission on his sales for the month. Kalil’s sales for July were $51000. What was his total earning for July?

Answers

You add the Kalil's monthly salary (3,250) to his sales (51,000), then multiply 1.4% ( as a percent: 0.014)
The equation for this problem is
3,250 + 51,000 (0.014)
    54,250 (0.014)

How many thirds in 5

Answers

5=(1)+(1)+(1)+(1)+(1)

=(1/3+1/3+1/3)+(1/3+1/3+1/3)+(1/3+1/3+1/3)+(1/3+1/3+1/3)+(1/3+1/3+1/3)

=3(1/3)+3(1/3)+3(1/3)+3(1/3)+3(1/3)

=15*(1/3)

There are fifteen thirds in five.
1/3 divide 5
1/3 divide 5/1
common denominator is 3
1/3 divide 15/3
=15
There are 15 thirds in 5

Answers

Answer:

The unit rate is 75/1.

Step-by-step explanation:

To figure out this problem you have to divide.

375 divided by 5 is equal to 75.

Therefore the unit rate is 75/1.

Alana and her friends decided to have a water fight on a hot summer day. They filled a bunch of water balloons and started the fight at 12:20 P.M. The water balloons lasted for 25 minutes. When all the water balloons were gone, they sprayed water with hoses for 55 minutes, until Alana's dad showed up with ice cream. What time was it when the water fight ended?

Answers

The time was it when the water fight ended is when they started the fight at 12:20 P.M. at 1:40 P.M.

To find out what time the water fight ended, you can start with the initial time when they began the water fight (12:20 P.M.) and then add the duration of the water balloon fight and the hose spraying.

Water balloons lasted for 25 minutes, and spraying water with hoses lasted for 55 minutes, so:

Total duration = 25 minutes (water balloons) + 55 minutes (hose spraying)

                        = 80 minutes

Now, add these 80 minutes to the starting time:

12:20 P.M. + 80 minutes = 1:40 P.M.

So, the water fight ended at 1:40 P.M.

A point on a damped spring has motion given by s(t)=2e^(-1.5t) s in(2(pi)t), where s is measured in centimeters and t is measured in seconds. Choose which of these is the graph for the velocity function for 0 < or equal to t < or equal to 4

Answer:

(7)

error percentage is 0.6%

(8)

Graph-C

Step-by-step explanation:

(7)

we are given cube

Let's assume edge of cube =x

so, volume of cube will be

V(x)=x^3

we are given

V=125000

so, we can find 'x'

125000=x^3

x=50

So,

a=50

now, we can use linear approximation formula

L(x)=V(a)+(x-a)V'(a)

L(x)=V(a)+(\Delta x)V'(a)

we have

\Delta x=0.1

we can plug a=50

L(x)=V(50)+(0.1)V'(50)

V(x)=x^3

we can find derivative

V'(x)=3x^2

now, we can plug x=50

V'(50)=3(50)^2

V'(50)=7500

now, we can plug these values

and we get

L(x)=V(50)+(0.1)* 7500

L(x)=V(50)+750

L(x)-V(50)=750

so, error is

error=750

now, we can find percentage error

Percentage is

=(750)/(125000)* 100

=0.6%

so, error percentage is 0.6%

(8)

we are given

s(t)=2e^(-1.5t)sin(2\pi t)

We will find derivative

To get velocity , we will find derivative

s'(t)=(d)/(dt)\left(2e^(-1.5t)\sin \left(2\pi t\right)\right)

we can use product rule

and we get

s'(t)=-3e^(-1.5t)sin(2\pi t)+4\pi e^(-1.5t) sin(2\pi t)

so, we get velocity equation as

v(t)=-3e^(-1.5t)sin(2\pi t)+4\pi e^(-1.5t) sin(2\pi t)

now, we can draw graph

we can see that firstly , we get maxima and then minima

so, our graph would be
