b. The solubility of the liquid will increase.
c. The solubility of the liquid will decrease.
d. The solubility will not change because the solubility of liquids is never affected by temperature.

Answer:

solubility increases

Explanation:

Answer 2
Answer: Temperature doesn't really affect solubility on liquids so it can only be D besides it's already a liquid....

To increase the amount of electricity produced in the U.S., we could place what on top of all Wal-Mart stores?Turbines

Biomass incinerators

Wind farms

Solar panels

Answers

That's a great idea !  A wind turbine (windmill) or solar panels
on the roof of every WalMart, but don't stop there.  Let K-Mart,
Target, Sears, Macy's, 7-11, McDonald's, and Subway in on it too.

In fact, why not place them on the roof of every house and
apartment building too ?

Just one question:  Who's going to pay for them ?

The biggest single year-round residential use of energy in the
USA is to heat up and keep a ready supply of hot water.  So the
single biggest residential use of energy could be eliminated with
a simple solar water heater on the roof of every house.  From my
own personal observation, I know that Israel is there now, but here
in the USA, it's apparently not worth the time, effort, or expense ! ? !

The question will be looking for Solar Panels, as they are flat, non-intrusive, and reasonably low maintenance ie the most sensible choice.

However I mean in theory you could stick windmills on top of big Wal-Mart stores as wind turbines are placed on roofs regularly, so you can tell whoever set you that question that it is vague ;)

Which types of radioactive decay cause the parent nucleus to become a different element or isotope (and thus are useful for radioactive dating)? Group of answer choices Alpha decay Beta decay Gamma decay Both alpha and beta decay Both beta and gamma decay All three: alpha, beta, and gamma decay

Answers

Answer: alpha decay and beta decay cause the parent nucleus to become a different element.

Explanation:

Alpha decay : It is a radioactive decay in which nucleus emits an alpha particle and turns into different atomic nucleus. During alpha decay, an atom loses 2 protons and 2 neutrons.

_Z^A\textrm{X}\rightarrow _(Z-2)^(A-4)\textrm{Y}+_2^4\alpha

Beta decay is defined as the process in which beta particle is emitted. In this process, a neutron gets converted to a proton and an electron.Thus a different element is produced.

_Z^A\textrm{X}\rightarrow _(Z+1)^A\textrm{Y}+_(-1)^0\beta

Gamma decay : In this process, the unstable nuclei transformed into stable nuclei by releasing gamma rays along with beta or alpha decay.The same element is produced.

_Z^A\textrm{X}^*\rightarrow _Z^A\textrm{X}+_0^0\gamma

What lever has resistance between the axis (fulcrum) and the force (effort)?

Answers

Third class lever it has the exact resistance

Answer:

second class lever

Explanation:

A solid aluminum cube has sides each of length L . A second cube of the same material has sides four times the length of the first cube; i.e., 4 L . Compared to the first cube, the total surface area of the second cube is 1. twenty-seven times the first cube. 2. sixteen times the first cube. 3. sixty-four times the first cube. 4. eight times the first cube. 5. twenty-four times the first cube. 6. two times the first cube

Answers

Answer:

Option (2): Sixteen times the first cube

Explanation:

Surface \:  Area \:  of  \: Cube = 6 {a}^(2)

(T.S.A \: of \: larger \: cube)/(T.S.A \: of \: smaller \: cube)  =  \frac{6 * 16 {l}^(2) }{6 *  {l}^(2) }  = 16

When the linear dimensions of a solid are multiplied by ' R ', the surface area of all or any part of it increases by R² , and the volume of all or any part of it increases by R³ .

If the sides of the second cube are 4 times the sides of the first one, then the second cube has (4²) = sixteen times the surface area of the first one (2), and it has (4³) = 64 times the volume of the first one.

What is the minimum current rating of the motor disconnecting means for a 40-horsepower, 208-volt, 3-phase squirrel-cage motor?

Answers

Answer:

The minimum current rating of the motor disconnecting means is 165 Amperes.

Explanation:

First convert the given power into units of watt. Since,

1 horsepower = 746 watts

Therefore,

40 horsepower = 40 x 746 watts

40 horsepower = 29840 watts

Since, we know that:

Power = Full Load Current (FLC) x Voltage

FLC = Power/Voltage

FLC = 29840 watts/208 volts

FLC = 143.46 Amperes

Now, the current for disconnecting means is at least 115% of the FLC, for the motors rated at 600 Volts or less.

Current for Disconnecting Means = (1.15)(143.46 A)

Current for Disconnecting Means = 165 Amperes

What are the two most reactive groups of elements in the periodic table?

Answers

The periodic table is a tabulated organization and representation of chemical elements that classify elements similar to repeating characteristics and order them by their increasing atomic number.

The periodic table is structured into:

  • rows known as periods and;
  • columns usually called groups.

The groups are categorized from group 1 (known as the alkali metals) to group 18 (i.e. the noble gases)

The list of the two most reactive groups are:

  • Alkali metals and;
  • The halogen family

  1. Alkali metals i.e the group 1 metals are one of the two metals with the highest reactivity.  This is owing to their greater atomic radii and lower ionization energies, among other factors. They exhibit an oxidation state of +1 and typically donate electrons in reaction with the halogen family thereby resulting in the formation of an ionic bond. They also have lower boiling and melting points than other elements and are less dense.
  2. The halogen family which is the other group of the most reactive elements on the periodic table is distinguished by their electronegativity characteristics. i.e. their ability to attracts electrons to themselves. They are located in group 7 on the periodic table.

Thus, we can conclude that the two most reactive groups of elements in the periodic table are the alkali metals and the halogen family.
