What are the dimensions of the vertical cross section shown on this right rectangular prism show. Below

Answers

Answer:

C

Step-by-step

The 12 inch dimension is at right angles to the face in question. Any answer with 12 is incorrect.

A B and D are all wrong for that reason.

So the answer must be C. The 5 and 4 are both parallel to the cross sectional face

1. Distributive (the 2 is distributed)

2. Identity (multiplying by 1 doesn't change the number)

3. Associative (parentheses can move)

4. Zero (multiplying by 0 = 0)

5. Commutative (you can multiply in any order)

Question: What property is this?

1. Distributive the 2 is distributed to everything

2. Identity multiplying by 1

3. Associative parentheses move

4. Zero multiplying anything by 0 = 0

The library is located 1.8 miles west of Callie’s house. The grocery store is located 2.4 miles south of the library. What is the length of a straight line between Callie’s house and the grocery store?

Answers

Hello!

A good way to solve this is by using the Pythagorean Theorem, where the distance between the grocery store and Callie's house is the hypotenuse of the triangle.

The two legs we are given, 1.8 and 2.4 will represent a and b in the Pythagorean Theorem.

a²+b²=c²

First we have to find 1.8 and 2.4 squared.

1.8²=3.24
2.4²=5.76

If we add these answers, we will get 9. This is c². But to find just c, we will undo the square by using the square root.

√9=3.

This means that the length of a straight line from Callie's house to the grocery store is 3 miles.

I hope this helps!

Please help! Would you describe the associations in this table as… (pick two)Linear? Negative? Nonlinear? Positive?

I know it would be nonlinear because neither Variable X OR Y have a constant rate of change.
Unfortunately, I don't know whether it is positive or negative.

i would say negative
