F. closing in on Germany from the east and the west

Hope this helps

A. driving the Axis powers from North Africa

The initial landings in Algeria and Morocco by allied forces turned to be successful. They fought Vichy French troops who shortly after changed sides. The Victory in Tunisia, and the invasion of Sicily where the Italians surrender followed marks a decisive point in the region.

Together with driving the German forces out of Africa came the Mediterranean strategy, mostly led by the British and continued by Roosevelt,  which meant ultimately seizing the region for the Allies.

The battle of Alamein is also of great importance, considered a decisive British victory with great significance as an initial turning point in the region.

B. the Battle of Normandy

Normandy, France July 1944 Perhaps the most well-known strategy and the most known battle as portrayed in the films, is basically approaching a direct and rapid liberation of western Europe. The Germans still considered that they had a tactical advantage to repel any invasion. Turned to be false.

E. the drive across France

Once Allied forces landed in the French territory they kept advancing onwards to liberate the remaining strongholds the Nazi were only resisting. The drive across France targeted Berlin but also included the liberation of cities among France that still was a hostage.

F. closing in on Germany from the east and the west

After the Stalingrad battle, which is considered perhaps the major turning point in WWII history, the Soviets managed it to press and recover the East Front while the British, American and French were doing the counterpart on the West. The taking over of the Nazi headquarters in Berlin was finally made as the Red Army was quicker to advance and gain Berlin.

It is the Expressionism, which was a modernist movement born and mostly centered in Germany in the beginning of the XX Century (1905 - 1930).

The Expressionism was the 'art of instinct', through which the artist attempted  to depict human emotions. With unreal colors, artistic form to fear, solitude, jealousy was given.

As an example of great artists adept to this movement, was Paul Cézanne (1839 - 1906), and Vincent can Gogh (1853 - 1890) that were recognized as actually creating their own styles, and being one of the greater names of their time.

Name at least three allies of the United States today. How do you think the United States would support these allies in times of war? What about in times of peace? How do you think they should support the United States in times of war or times of peace?

Answers

Three allies of the United States today are:

  • United Kingdom
  • Japan
  • South Korea

What are Allies Of the United States Importance?

By working together to tackle common threats such as terrorism, cyber-attacks, and military aggression, Allies contribute to US security. They also provide economic benefits to the US in order to strengthen the economy.

The United States would provide military help, intelligence, supplies, and potentially even troops to fight alongside these partners.

These allies should provide military aid, intelligence, and logistical support to the United States during times of conflict, as well as participate in any worldwide coalitions or alliances formed to fight common foes.

Allies must also exchange information and intelligence in order to better tackle dangers and challenges, as well as collaborate on subjects such as climate change, global health, and human rights.

Answer:

Three allies of the United States today are Germany, Mexico, and Japan. I think that the US might support Germany in times of war but most likely not after WW1. I think that the US would more likely help Germany during times of peace. The US would probably help Japan in times of war, but more likely during times of peace. Adding on, I think that the US would help Mexico in times of war but I am not too sure. We probably wouldn't have if Trump was still in office but I think it's a possibility now. I think we would also help them in times of peace. I think that Germany, Mexico, and Japan should help the US in times of peace. I am a little unsure though if Germany or Japan would help the US in times of war but I think Mexico might.
