What are some of the ways earth is protected by its atmosphere

Answers

The ozone layer keeps harmful rays from the sun also the atmosphere burns up small deburey from rockets, space trash ex. Also small rocks and particles can get burned before hitting the earth. One of the greatest things is it keeps spefic gasses needed for life like oxygen in the world.
Well, the atmosphere has various layers. One of which is the stratosphere. This stratosphere consists of a thin layer consisting of a gas. This is called the ozone layer. This ozone layer refracts the ultraviolent rays of the sun. Through this, the ultra violent rays are prevented from reaching the earth. If these ultra violent rays get to the earth, it can completely destroy all life on earth. It can lead to skin cancer and some other problems. The ozone layer in the atmosphere prevents this from happening. Through this, it protects the earth. Although, this ozone layer can be destroyed by CFC's, which are chloroflourocarbons. These gases cause the ozone layer to deplete. They also get trapped in the earth and cannot escape, causing the green house effect which leads to global warming, causing the melting of ice caps.
