Describe the positive and negative effects of globalization in the modern world in two of the following areas: • politics • economics • culture

Answers

Advantages and disadvantages of globalization in economics and culture.

Economics.

Globalization in economics had served to improve trade among countries. Free trade has been a consequence of globalization as we can see in cases such as the North American Free Trade Agreement between the United States, Mexico, and Canada (NAFTA). There are some disadvantages in this such as many local jobs were taken out to other countries due to cheaper labor. That is why NAFTA has been renegotCultiriated and now it is called USMCA, the United States, Mexico, and Canada Agreement.

Culture.

Global influence has allowed the exportation of cultural contents to other countries that were never before considered in the West or in the East. Literature, art, mass media, among others. These elements have allowed people from the other extreme of the world to be informed on current issues in other countries. The disadvantage of this is that cultural globalization has produced a loss of identity in many countries that are "Americanizing" their languages, losing their customs, culture, and tradition in favor of Western ideologies.

Positive and negative effects of globalization Globalization refers to the overall development as well as modernization of a community as a whole. The reason why globalization is important is because it helps a community in gaining international recognition, influence as well as operation.

How might conquered people feel about paying tribute to the Assyrians

Answers

The Assyrians created an enormous empire and they are used to being known for their ruthless warriors. They wanted tribute from the conquered people but the latter was not quite happy with it because both their culture and values were different.

How did the Assyrians defeat their enemies in war?

The Assyrian soldiers were violent and they gave their enemy a tormented taste of defeat. They used to torture by cutting off limbs or gougedout the eyes and letting the people suffer. Other than these, they used to do practices of beheading, flaying the skins of people, crucifixion, burning and many more.

They enjoyed the mass execution and did these activities to show the citizens so that they can remember what the Assyrians are  capable of. All these affected the Assyrian soldiers too as they suffered after having the guilt of killing the people in such a brutal way.

Even though the brutality of the Assyrians cannot be compared with any pain, they didn't last for long and vanished after a few years.

42. Which region on the map includes the Peloponnesian Peninsula where the Greek city-states developed? A.
A

B.
B

C.
C

D.
D

Answers

Answer:

The correct answer is D, as that is the region that includes the Peloponnesian Peninsula.

Explanation:

The Peloponnese is a Greek peninsula that forms the southern part of mainland Greece. It is separated from the rest of the country by the Corinthian Gulf and the Corinthian Nose. The largest city on the peninsula is Patras. In the Peloponnese there are important ancient remains, including the sanctuary of Olympia.

In ancient times, the Peloponnese was important because of the fact that the city of Sparta, a long-time rival of Athens, was located here. The ruins of the old city are now close to the current Mystras. Furthermore, ancient Corinth was also a very important city. The ruins of this ancient city, Korinthos archaia, are close to the modern city of Corinth. Furthermore, the sanctuary of Hera, a goddess from Greek mythology, was also famous at Argos. Shrines were dedicated to her in various places in the Peloponnese.

The region on the map that includes the Peloponnesian Peninsula where the Greek city states develop is D.
