How can I get into Stanford University? I'm in 7th grade right now and parents' expectations... I don't want one of those simple study and practice answers. Thanks in advance.

Answer 1
Answer: Keep your grades up like no less than an A or B average and if they cant afford to pay it all try different sports and get a scholarship, but it will still require a lot of work and stay out of trouble to that's important into getting into any good college. But right now if you wanted to find what you'd like to major in and focus on that. You cant apply for a few more years so just stay focused on your goal and if its something you really want you'll get it.
Answer 2
Answer: Honestly, Stanford is my dream school. I stress myself out everyday because that is where i want to be. If there is one tbing I wish, its to be a little but chilled out in middle school. Dont stress in middle school! Colleges dont look for that. Here is my advice for high school, since i just completed my first year:
1.) join at least one extra curricular in your first year and stick to it. I suggest joining at least two in order and be COMMITTED!!
2.) try to get a 4.0 and joing AP/honors classes to boost your gpa. Dont worry about the AP tes because some schools dont accept it.
3.) EXPLORE! Do something new. Join a club, volunteer, etc. this is so important.
4.) If you can, join a sport!! It teaches a lot, trust me.
5.) Apply to pre college programs IMMEDIATELY!! these are so amazing and look for finacial aid.
6.) Speak to your counselors. They will tell you about new things and orograms. It will help
7.) Volunteer. It looks great.
8.) have some fun. I was so stress all year. Relax and have fun!!
Hooe this helps. There is no guarantee that you will get into stanford, just do the beat you can!! Thats what im doing

What is the solution to the system of equations represented by the two equations?need to be answered ASAP.

Since  (3/2 x)  and  (-1/2 x + 4)  are both equal to the same thing,
they must be equal to each other.

So you can write        3/2 x  =  -1/2 x + 4 .

Use that equation to find the value of 'x'.

Then write that value in place of 'x' in either one
of the original equations to get 'y'.

Now you can solve it yourself, faster than I can write the solution here.

Ok I just did a test on this and my teacher taught me how to do it, For problem like number 3 with the table of numbers, You take the first to sets like -1,-5 and 1,1....Then   you do 1 - (-5) =  your answer then 1 - (-1) = your answer than you get 6 and 2  ...you want to divided those numbers 6/2 = 3 and that is positive so #3 is positive.                                                                                                                       Same thing for #4  1,-2 and 2,-6       -6 - (-2) = x      2 - 1 = x  x/x  I want you to solve #4 for yourself        #2 is already done  y = -4x + 5  just take the -4 and -4 is negative so #2 is negative.   Then #1  I have a hard time with those but I think it's positive

Two spherical balloons are filled with water. The first balloon has a radius of 3 cm, and the second has a radius of 6 cm.How much more water is in the larger balloon than in the smaller balloon?
Use 3.14 to approximate pi, and express your answer in the hundredths.

cm3

Answers

You use the volume formula for a sphere, or V=4/3*pi*r³;
so the first balloon (3cm) has a volume of 113.1.
The second balloon (6cm) has a volume of 904.78.
Therefore, you do 904.78-113.1, getting 791.68 cm³

The answer is: 791.28

$6.30+y=$25 do not get this

Answers

6.30 + y = 25

Subtract 6.3 on both sides

y = 25 - 6.30

y = 18.7
Ok for this you will need to get Y by itself to do that just subtract $6.30 on both sides. $25- 6.30= $18.70 , so y= $18.70 is your answer.

Two similar FOR SALE signs have a scale factor of 5:3. The largest sign’s perimeter is 60 inches. Find the small sign’s perimeter.

Answers

The perimeter of small sign is: 36 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratios will be used to solve the question

Given

Ratio of larger to smaller sign = 5:3

Perimeter larger sign = 60 inches

If there is a scale factor between the signs, there will be a scale factor between perimeters of both signs

Let x be the perimeter of smaller sign

So,

5:3 = 60:x\n(5)/(3) = (60)/(x)\n5x = 180

Dividing both sides by 5

(5x)/(5) = (180)/(5)\nx = 36

The perimeter of small sign is: 36 inches
