Please help, I have never been able to work these out although there so simple .-.

Answer 1
Answer: 1.  First find the LCD of the two fractions.
They share the denominator 6.
Turn 1/2 into a fraction with a denominator of 6.
2*3=6,  so 1*3=3
3/6
Now add.
Leave denominators alone,  but add numerators.
3+5=8
8/6
Now simplify.
Divide both by 2.
8/2=4
6/2=3
4/3 is your answer or 1 1/3
2.  Multiply straight across.
3*2=6
4*7=28
6/28
Simplify
You get 3/14 as your answer.

one common factor of 2 numbers is 40 another common factor is 10 if both numbers are less than 100 what are the two numbers

Answers

so, if one common factor is 40, then they also have all the factors of 40 in common: 2,4,5,8,10... so we don't need to know that the other common factor is 10.

but there are only two multiples of 40 smaller than 100: 40 and 80. and if those numbers are not the same number, then they must be 40 and 80!

For what values of x and y are the triangles to the right congruent by HL?

Answers

Based on the Hypotenuse-LengthTheorem of Congruence (HL), the values of x and y that will make both right triangles congruent are:

  • x = 8
  • y = 4

Recall:

  • Two right triangles are congruent to each other by the Hypotenuse-Length Congruence Theorem (HL) if the hypotenuse length and one leg of a right triangle is congruent to the hypotenuse length and leg of the other right triangle.

Thus, for both right triangles to be congruent, it means that their hypotenuse and one of their corresponding legs must be equal to each other.

Use this to create two equations and solve to get the value of x and y.

  • Equal Hypotenuse:

x + 4 = 3y\n\nx + 4 - 4 = 3y - 4\n\nx = 3y - 4(eqn. 1)

  • Equal legs:

x = y + 4\n\n (eqn. 2).

  • Find the value of y, by substituting x = (y + 4) into eqn. 1.

x = 3y - 4 (eqn. 1)

  • Substitute

y + 4 = 3y - 4\n\ny - 3y = -4 - 4\n\n-2y = -8\n\ny = 4

  • Find the value of x, by substituting y = 4 into eqn. 2.

x = y + 4\n\nx = 4 + 4\n\nx = 8

Therefore, based on the Hypotenuse-LengthTheorem of Congruence (HL), the values of x and y that will make both right triangles congruent are:

  • x = 8
  • y = 4

Answer:

x = 8 and y = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

For congruency the hypotenuse and a leg must be congruent, that is

3y = x + 4 → (1) ( Equating the hypotenuse )

x = y + 4 → (2) ( equating corresponding legs )

Substitute x = y + 4 into (1)

3y = y + 4 + 4

3y = y + 8 ( subtract y from both sides )

2y = 8 ( divide both sides by 2 )

y = 4

Substitute y = 4 into (2)

x = 4 + 4 = 8

What is 1/10 of 90000

Answers

The  $\n((1)/(10)) ^(th) of 90000 is 9000.

We have a number - 90000

We have to determine  $\n((1)/(10)) ^(th)part of this number.

Evaluate 1/5 of 100.

The $\n((1)/(5)) ^(th) part of 100 will be -

(1)/(5) * 100 = 20

According to the question, we have -

Number -   90000

Therefore, 1/10 of 90000 will be -

(1)/(10) * 90000 = 9000

Hence, $\n((1)/(10)) ^(th) of 90000 is 9000.
