1) compare and contrast the Taiga and Desert biomes2) Compare and contrast the Tundra and Grasslands biomes

Answers

Answer 1
Answer:

Answer: The desert and tundra biomes have very different temperatures as well as extremely different plants and animals. The desert can get very hot during the day, but cool off quickly at night. It has sandy soil and supports very little plant life. Animals found in the desert include lizards, javelinas, Gila monsters, coyotes, bobcats, scorpions, and kangaroo rats. The tundra is cold, dry, and often dark. The average temperature is about 10°F. The soil below the surface is permanently frozen, and is called permafrost. A few types of plants grow during the short summer season. Animals found in the tundra include caribou, foxes, wolves, and Arctic hares.

Answer 2
Answer: ok so the taiga and desert biomes are similar  because both of them have very little transportation , climate zones and climate zones depending on the latitudes and both biomes have little water available for plants and animals. Taiga biomes have little due to freezing and deserts  due to little rain. A difference  is that more plants can survive in the taiga than in the deserts, which in turn supports more animals. Deserts have different types of deserts that are characterized  in temperature and rainfall.Deserts are the driest biome while taigas are one of the most coldest.   A similarity between the Tundra and Grasslands biomes is that the tundra is cold and dry and little to no rainfall every year while, the grassland has warm temperatures with light winds. A similarity between them is that both biomes have a good amount of herbivores and carnivores and animals and plants have adapted to their surroundings

In what ways does the water cycle provide fresh water around earth

Answers

The water cycle provides fresh water by evaporating salt water because salt can't be picked up when evaporated so you have fresh water in the sky. When it rains, it spreads the water around into groundwater, lakes, steams, etc.
The rain, I mean ; when the water evaporates from seas or big lakes, it goes into clouds and those clouds form RAIN If that PLACE (Like Africa) doesn't has water, it won't rain Did it helped??

Write the balanced chemical equations for photosynthesis and cellular respiration

Answers

Answer: The balanced chemical equation for photosynthesis is 6CO2 + 6H2O + sunlight --> C6H12O6 + 6O2.

The balanced chemical equation for cellular respiration is C6H12O6 + 6O2 --> 6CO2+ 6H2O + Energy.

Explanation: Photosynthesis and cellular respiration are two opposite reactions. In photosynthesis, plants use carbon dioxide, water and sunlight to produce glucose and oxygen while in cellular respiration, both plants and animals breakdown glucose in the presence of oxygen to produce carbon dioxide and water with the release of energy.

Photosynthesis occurs only in plants and some photosynthetic bacteria while cellular respiration occurs in both plants and animals. The energy released from the breakdown of glucose in cellular respiration is used to drive other cellular processes.

Each of the two processes depends on the other for the supply of its reactants. Photosynthesis depends on cellular respiration for the supply of carbon dioxide and water while cellular respiration depends on photosynthesis for the supply of glucose and oxygen.

Final answer:

The balanced chemical equation for photosynthesis is 6CO2 + 6H2O -> C6H12O6 + 6O2. The balanced chemical equation for cellular respiration is C6H12O6 + 6O2 -> 6CO2 + 6H2O. These equations represent the conversions that occur in photosynthesis and cellular respiration.

Explanation:

The balanced chemical equation for photosynthesis is. The equations represent the conversion of carbon dioxide and water to glucose and oxygen in photosynthesis, and the reverse conversion of glucose and oxygen to carbon dioxide and water in cellular respiration.

6CO2 + 6H2O C6H12O6 + 6O2

The balanced chemical equation for cellular respiration is:

C6H12O6 + 6O2 6CO2 + 6H2O

The equations represent the conversion of carbon dioxide and water to glucose and oxygen in photosynthesis, and the reverse conversion of glucose and oxygen to carbon dioxide and water in cellular respiration.
