Compare rates of change.A. The equation below can be used to find the length of a foot or forearm when you know one or the other. (length of the foot) = 0.860 • (length of the forearm) + 3.302 If you let y = length of the foot and x = length of the forearm, this equation can be simplified to y = 0.860x + 3.302. Using this equation, how long would the foot of a person be if his forearm was 17 inches long? B. What is the rate of change of the equation from Part A? Compare the equation from Part A to your data. Are they the same? Which has a greater rate of change? Why do you think the values are different? C. Is the relation in your data a function? Why or why not? Could the equation in Part A represent a function? Why or why not? Explain your answer.
2x + y = −33x + 2y = −8

Rachel finished 3/4 of the race in 6 hours. How long was the entire race? (What model do I draw as well?)

Answers

Answer:

8 hours.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let t hours represent duration of entire race.

We have been given that Rachel finished (3)/(4) of the race in 6 hours. We are asked to find the duration of entire race.

As Rachel finished (3)/(4) of the race in 6 hours, so (3)/(4) of x will be equal to 6.

(3)/(4)x=6

(4)/(3)*(3)/(4)x=(4)/(3)* 6

x=(4)/(1)* 2

x=4* 2

x=8

Therefore, the duration of entire race was 8 hours.

3/4 of the race in 6 hrs
6 divided by 3 equals 2
so 1/4 is 2 hrs, 2/4 is 4 hrs, 3/4 is 6 hrs which means 4/4 the whole race would be 8 hrs
4 multiplied by 2 would give you 8
so the entire race was (8 hours long)

How you be a very good maths improver

Answers

In order to improve in your math skills you have to study.
I know from experience.
You can get a tutor like I did. Some help some dont so choose wisely.
You should print out worksheets from online, if you dont have a printer just copy the question onto a piece of paper.
STUDY!
Everyday when you come home from school, review what you have done during math class so if you forgot some of it you refresh your mind. Do the same thing before you go to sleep.
Hope I helped!
Study by finding online games and printing out worksheets. Ask your parents or guardian to quiz you and MAKE FLASHCARDS! It helps so much. When you have a spare 5 minutes pull them out and study. Take extra notes in class than your teacher wants you to and rewrite them and highlight them. Find workbooks around your house. Ask your parents/guardian to make a math test for you or just print one out. Don't stress yourself with math, take a 10 minute break before doing more every 30 minutes. I used to HATE MATH but now it's ok because I do these things. MATH IS FUN!!!!

Dao has 2 3/8 pounds of hamburger meat. He is making 1/4 -pound hamburgers. Does Dao have enough meat to make 10 hamburgers? Explain.

Answers

To find if there is enough, here is the equation
(1)/(4)×(10)/(1)
You multiple across
1×10=10 and 4×1=4=(10)/(4)
Then you divide the numerator(top) by the denominator(bottom)
10÷4=2 (2)/(4)2(1)/(2)
To see if they equal, you multiply just the fraction by four
(1)/(2)×(4)/(4)=(4)/(8)
Thus the answer is 2 (4)/(8) which is larger than 2 (3)/(8)
Dao has enough meat to make 10 hamburgers because 2(4)/(8)>2 (3)/(8)

This page is not six different problems.
It's the same problem six times.

The problem is:
Find the area of a triangle, when you know
the height and the length of the base.

Here's the formula you need:

         Area of a triangle = (1/2) · (length of the base) · (height) .

For each triangle, the picture gives the length of the base and
the height.  All you have to do is write them into this formula, and
do the multiplication.

That's all the help you need.  Go get um !  You can do it.
