Which of the following best describes where fossil fuels come from

Answers

Answer 1
Answer:

Coal best describes where fossil fuels come from.

What is Coal?

Known as Coal seams, coal is a combustible sedimentary rock that is black or brownish-black in color. With varying proportions of additional elements, primarily hydrogen, sulfur, oxygen, and nitrogen, coal is mostly composed of carbon.

Over millions of years, heat and pressure from deep burial cause dead plant matter to decompose into peat, which then transforms into coal.

During the late Carboniferous and Permian periods, vast coal deposits—known as coal forests—occurred in the ancient marshes that formerly covered a large portion of the tropical landmasses of Earth.

Many large coal deposits, nevertheless, are from the Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras, which are much younger than this.

What are Fossil Fuels?

An extracted and burned fossil fuel is a hydrocarbon-containing substance that naturally originated in the earth's crust from the remains of extinct plants and animals. Coal, unrefined oil, and natural gas are the three primary fossil fuels.

Fossil fuels can be used to produce energy, power engines (like internal combustion engines in cars), or supply heat for direct use (like for cooking or heating).

Before being burned, some fossil fuels are processed to produce derivatives like kerosene, gasoline, and propane.

The anaerobic decomposition of buried deceased animals that contained organic molecules produced by photosynthesis is the source of fossil fuels.

The geological process that transforms these elements into high-carbon fossil fuels often takes millions of years.

One shortcoming of the Articles of Confederation was that it did not provide for:equal voting rights
American independence
election of representatives
collection of taxes

Answers

Answer:

Collection of taxes

Explanation:

The Articles of Confederation was the first US Constitution but had a few problems that caused the creation of the current Constitution.

One of those problems was the creation of taxes. The Articles of Confederation created a national government composed of a Congress, but the states did not want to lose power and form a strong central government, because of that the Congress had a few powers such as declare wars, appoint military officers, sign treaties, make alliances, appoint foreign ambassadors and manage relations with Indians.

But the Congress did not have the power to tax, the Congress and central power would raise money by asking the states for funds, borrowing from foreign governments or selling lands. This caused many problems because states did not fund the federal government enough, causing a weak central government and this led to the failure of a quorum to ratify the treaty that guaranteed American Independence.

Final answer:

One major shortcoming of the Articles of Confederation was that it did not provide for the collection of taxes. The federal government had to rely on states' contributions and lacked financial independence, which was a significant disadvantage.

Explanation:

The Articles of Confederation were the first governing document in the United States. Created during the Revolutionary War, the Articles provided a form of government that saw the states holding most of the power, with a weak central government. One key element that was missing, however, was the collection of taxes.

Under the Articles, the federal government did not have the power to levy taxes. Instead, it had to request that the states contribute funds. This lack of financial independence created significant problems, as the federal government often did not have the funds it needed to operate effectively. Every state had its own method of collecting taxes and some did not contribute at all. This was a significant shortcoming of the Articles of Confederation

Evaluate the economic and political impact of the new deal on america

Answers

Well there are many things you could discuss here.  Economically Roosevelt instituted many social welfare plans.  He essentially was a democratic socialist and greatly regulated the banks of the United States and set up the Glass-Steagel(unsure of spelling) Act which made it to where a bank essentially was unable to use the money that you put into it for risky investment (it was repealed under Clinton and this was a major factor in the recession of 2008, but I digress).  There was also the FDIC which insured people's money in banks up to 100,000 dollars I think.  It's hard to determine the success of Roosevelt's economic programs though because World War 2 really helped pull the United States out of the Great Depression.
As for the political impact Roosevelt was really the first modern president to gain a lot of control. Now what exactly does this mean? Well before him most of the presidents with the exception of a few such as Lincoln or Andrew Jackson were very weak and Roosevelt was the first President, and this trend continues to today, to really take control of power from Congress even though the framers of the Constitution intended the Legislative branch to be the most powerful.  After Roosevelt the executive branch got much larger thanks to the many bureaucratic programs instituted under him and his alphabet soup administration.  Roosevelt even had the gall to threaten to raise the judicial branch from 9 to 13 judges so that he could more-or-less force his legislation through and not have to worry about the constitutionality of it.
So in short, economically he made the government have much more control and created welfare programs and politically he greatly enhanced the powers of the presidency and the executive branch as a whole. Hope this helps.

How can a student improve his grades?

Answers

Study hard, and focus as much as possible! Take small breaks and study and do your homework  in quiet areas  where you will not be distracted. Turn off your phone, and any other distracting technology. If that does not help, maybe consult your parents about getting a tutor or going to afterschool classes. Maybe even consult your teacher  about doing extra work, or ask the teacher some questions!
Your grade goes up when you score higher on assignments and tests, so in order to improve your grade, you must improve your individual scores. To do so, a student should set aside time to study and memorize the material. If there's something they don't understand, they need to take proper measures - such as talking to a teacher or librarian - to be sure they do in the future. In order for this to happen, a student must preform well, which requires a nourished body and mind. Getting enough sleep, food, and water are very important as well. Coming to class on time, well-rested, and fed helps aid the learning process as well as overall grades.

Why was America’s victory at Yorktown among the most significant battles of the American Revolution? It made the British realize they were fighting a lost cause and soon after, they conceded the war. It forced colonists who had so far remained neutral to pick a side and enlist in the war. It helped the Continental Army remove all British barracks from New Jersey. It helped secure France’s military and financial aid for the American cause. It was the colonists’ first victory against the British during the Revolution. NextReset

It Helped the Continental Army Remove all British barracks from New Jersey.
The Victory in Yorktown was really a Great Victory!
The US Army was following the British Army to a small peninsula.
The British Army thought that they'll get reinforcements from France, which was wrong.
The French reinforcements came to the American side, and helped in stopping the Arrival of many British ships.
Here, the king decided to sign peace and leave America.
So, we can say that Yorktown was where USA took her Liberty.

Hope this Helps! :)

The Continental Army's triumphs at Princeton and Trenton went a long way in boosting the patriots' morale. These battles also caused the British barracks to be moved from New Jersey to New York.

So it is not C.  I believe it to be A, it wasn't long after Yorktown that King George decided with the help of the people of England, they had had enough.
