Why were the anthropophage considered to be monstrous?A. They did not wear clothing.
B. They were cannibals.
C.They were over seven feet ball.
D. They lived in the Far East.

Answers

The antropophage were considered to be monstrous because B. they were cannibals. This word comes from the Latin word antropophagus, which means man-eater, which is a cannibal. These people ate other people, according to a myth, which is what makes them monstrous. A and D would not make a person monstrous, and C is just incorrect - they were not that large.

Which of the following sentences correctly uses a semicolon? We were going to go to the movies; but Jason forgot his wallet.
The curtains were shredded and all over the room; my cat looked very guilty.
Do you know why we are here; me neither.
Once there was a very hungry troll; but he was very kind as well.

Answers

The sentence that correctly uses the punctuation mark, semicolon (;) is, "The curtains were shredded and all over the room; my cat looked very guilty." This is an example of a compound sentence. A compound sentence consists of two independent clauses. If we use a semicolon to separate the two independent clauses, then we do not have to use any conjunctions to connect both.

The correct sentence using semicolon is the following: The curtains were shredded and all over the room; my cat looked very guilty. There're two independent clauses and an example of compound sentence.  Express a complete thought and have the same level of importance.

False

An area's climate can be altered by a volcanic eruption is TRUE.
I believe it is true but not permanently. some of the ash from the eruption stays in the air and therefore creates effectively a 'blanket' which would make the overall climate warmer.

Well i could be totally wrong but here goes. Look up into the night sky and what do you see? Trillions of stars.Burning brightly, lighting up the sky.Looks pretty. But that's about it. Stars die all the time, we barely think about it.
However our Sun is also a star. But for every human on earth it's sooo much more than that. The sun provides life. Without it we'd have no food. No warmth. The ecosystems would crash. It means our life.We don't view it as an average star. It's something we would perish without.

So when it says "Every star is a sun to someone" it probably means something you take for granted, and don't necessarily place high importance on (like the stars at night) may be something essential, precious, needed in the eyes of someone else (like our sun). It carries the tone of "one man's trash is another man's treasure." It may not mean much to you or I, but it means something to someone else.

"C.She moved to town three months ago, she is pretty shy" is a runon sentence since it should be two separate sentences instead. And "B. I enjoyed reading the book; it was funny yet informative" is not a run-on sentence since the semicolon separates the two main sections.

the answer is C for the first one

and for the second its B
