An allegory is a story, poem or a picture that can be made to reveal a hidden meaning. Usually the hidden meaning is a moral of the story, a lesson.
Some books you may enjoy (which are allegories) are --
° Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan
° Animal Farm by George Orwell
(Animal Farm is my favorite one! It really does have a lesson in it!)
(I would've added another book, but Brainly says it contained swear words so I couldn't add it! I'll try to add it into the comments.)
If you have a library nearby or a school library you could go to, you should definitely pick up one of these books, if you want to see an allegory in action! :)

C)"Yes, friends, ye are old again," said Dr. Heidegger, "and lo! the Water of Youth is all lavished on the ground."
D)"If the fountain gushed at my very doorstep, I would not stoop to bathe my lips in it; no, though its delirium were for years instead of moments."
Answer: D)"If the fountain gushed at my very doorstep, I would not stoop to bathe my lips in it; no, though its delirium were for years instead of moments."
The most likely answer would be D. Dr. Heidegger is talking about the "water of youth" (or fountain of youth) and he explains that even if the fountain were right at his doorstep, he would not drink from it. This shows enormous will-power and strength. Therefore, these lines are the ones that better represent wisdom and reason.

Explanation:
By definition, a Claim is "state or assert that something is the case, typically without providing evidence or proof." Still, a claim is an argument and has to sound convincing and open space for more debate on the matter.
The first option sounds more like an opinion, so does the second option. The last one doesn't really open much for a debate since it has 3 statements to be made already.
The third option is correct because it is a strong statement with an opinion behind it that opens room for explanations and debates.

Which of the following does not contribute to a writer’s style?
B. Conflict
Conflict is one of the main elements of a story and it does not dictate an author's style. It is the struggle between the characters or any other force, and it is what unfolds in a plot.
There are two types of conflict: external (characters against a specific outside source) and internal (psychology of the characters).
