Describe the rate of change modeled by this graph.A) positive
B) negative
C) no change
D) a change that is undefined
Describe the rate of change modeled by this graph. A) - 1

Answer 1
Answer: Hello!  Finding the rate of change used to really confuse me, but after learning about it a little more I understand it so much better.  To find whether a slope line is either negative or positive, you find the lowest point graphed on the line. So, for this example, it would be the point that intercepted the X axis at -8.  Then, just follow the line.  IF the line leads to a positive quadrant, then the line is positive.  IF the line leads to a negative quarderent, then the line is negative.  IF the line is a straight line, then it is no change, and if the line is a vertical line with no change it is a change that is undefined.

I hoped this helped in some way, and if you have any further questions feel free to shoot me a message or another question.  Good luck :)
Answer 2
Answer: Constant: When the graph has a straight line, because the constant of proportionality wouldn't change.
Decreasing: Going from up to down, or otherwise known as a negative correlation.
Increasing: Going from down to up. Values increase.

Since this line is increasing, the answer would be positive.

52 companies; 25% increase find original amount?

Answers

To find your answer, you would find 25% of 52. To find 25% of 52, you would multiply 52x.25.
52x.25=13
Now you need to subtract 52-13. 52-13 is 39. The original amount is 39 companies.

Help Please I'm Out Of Time ;( Find the area of the following figure.
Explain how you found your answer.

Answers

Answer:

Total area = 31.5 unit²

Step-by-step explanation:

Assume 1 block = 1 unit²

Divide diagram into 3 part

1. 5 by 5 block square

2. 2 by 2 block triangle(1)

2. 3 by 3 block triangle(2)

Area of square = side × side

Area of square = 5 × 5

Area of square = 25 unit²

Area of triangle(1) = [1/2][base][height]

Area of triangle(1) = [1/2][2][2]

Area of triangle(1) = 2 unit²

Area of triangle(2) = [1/2][base][height]

Area of triangle(2) = [1/2][3][3]

Area of triangle(2) = 4.5 unit²

Total area = Area of square + Area of triangle(1) +Area of triangle(2)

Total area = 25 unit² + 2 unit² + 4.5 unit²

Total area = 31.5 unit²

30 girls who tried out for the lacrosse team Euclid middle school 12 were selected of the 40 boys Who tried out 16 were selected are the ratios of the number of students on the team to the number of students trying out the same for both boys and girls

Answers

Answer:

Yes, the ratio of the number of students on the team to the number of students trying out is same for both girls and boys.

               The ratio is: 2:5

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that:

  • Out of 30 girls who tried out for the lacrosse team Euclid middle school 12 were selected.

This means that the ratio of the number of girls on the team to the number of girls trying out is:

   12/30=2/5

  • Also, 40 boys Who tried out 16 were selected .

This means that the ratio of the number of boys on the team to the number of boys trying out is:

     16/40=2/5

Hence, we get that the ratio is same for boys and girls i.e. 2:5

12/30=2/5
16/40=2/5
The ratio is the same because they both simplify to 2/5

How do i solve this inequality?

Answers

Answer: -9<x<4

Step-by-step explanation:

/ 2x +5/ < 13 , the first thing is to remove the absolute symbol , which will be

-13 < 2x + 5 < 13

solving the first part:

-13 < 2x + 5

-13 - 5 < 2x

-18 < 2x

-9 < x

solving the second part

2x + 5 < 13

2x < 13 - 5

2x < 8

x < 4

combining the two results

-9<x<4

Find the measure of angle x in the figure below: A triangle is shown. At the top vertex of the triangle is a horizontal line aligned to the base of the triangle. The angle formed between the horizontal line and the left edge of the triangle is shown as 52 degrees, the angle formed between the horizontal line and the right edge of the triangle is shown as 59 degrees. The angle at the top vertex of the triangle is labeled as y, and the interior angle on the right is labeled as 63 degrees. The interior angle on the left is labeled as x.

Answers

y = 180 - 52 - 59 = 69 degrees . . . . . . . . (angles on a straight line are supplementary, i.e. add up to 180 degrees)

x = 180 - 69 - 63 = 48 degrees . . . . . . . . (sum of interior angles of a triangle is 180 degrees)

Therefore, m/_x = 48 degrees.

The measure of the interior angle x as shown in the triangle below is 48°

Triangle

A triangle is a polygon with three sides and three angles. Types of triangles are obtuse, scalene, isosceles and equilateral. The sum of all angles in a triangle is 180 degrees.

From the diagram:

y + 52 + 59 = 180° (sum of angles in a straight line)

y = 69°

x + y + 63 = 180° (sum of angles in a triangle)

x + 69 + 63 = 180

x = 48°

The measure of the interior angle x as shown in the triangle below is 48°
