How does air and water affect a nail?

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: Well for starters...... Air particles are all around. They try to attach to pretty much everything. ( If you know what I mean ) Next water is hard to make it stick with just water..... So you could say to use a chemical to make it fully stick to the actual nail itself. I hoped that this helped.
Answer 2
Answer: I think that it is the oxygen in the air and in the water that affects the nail because most nails are made of iron and oxygen+Iron= Oxidation which is rust.

What is the difference between the way matter responds to a transverse wave and a longitudinal wave?A. Matter moves in the same direction in a longitudinal wave, and at right angles to the direction of a transverse wave.B. Matter moves at right angles to the direction of a longitudinal wave, and at right angles to the direction of a transverse wave.C. A longitudinal wave does not need matter through which to travel, while a transverse wave does.D. A longitudinal wave needs matter through which to travel, while a transverse wave does not.

When attempting to increase the distance traveled by a projectile, what must occur

Answers

Energy or power has to be increased to increase the distance travelled by the projectile.

Explanation:

Projectile motion is defined as when an object is thrown or projected at a particular angle and it reaches the ground after sometime due to acceleration and gravity.

For example, throwing a ball in air. To increase the distance travelled by the object due to projectile motion, one must increase the power at which the object to set.

To increase the distance of a projectile you must increase the power behind the projectile. However you must also change the angle if you are aiming for a specific point. By increasing the power the momentum transfers to the object and the projectile gains more velocity and more distance. Also remember that energy transfers. For more distance you must have more velocity.

Why some air masses are cool, cold, warm, and hot as well as moist or dry?

Answers

Answer:

Explanation:

Often times, the property of air masses is a function of where they originate from especially with respect to latitude.

An air mass is certain amount of air with some unique set of temperature and vapor component.

  • Air masses differs from places to places based on where  they originate.
  • Continental air masses are usually dry and cold because there is little to no water on a land mass.
  • Air masses that originates from the surface of the ocean are predominantly moist.
  • In polar regions, the air mass is cold.
  • Around the tropics, they are usually warm due to insolation here.

Answer:

In explaining other people’s behaviors people from western cultures tend to emphasize personal factors and people from eastern cultures tend to emphasize personal & situational factors

Explanation:

In Psychology, humans are described to always find a cause to the actions and behaviors they experience in life. This is called attribution. It is simply regarding an act or something as being caused by a thing or another person. The westerners explanation about this matter references more on personal factors where as the easterners tend to emphasize on both personal and situational factors.

Which of the following is NOT supported by Newton's Second Law?1 The mass of an object will change depending on the force acting on it

2 The greater the force applied on an object, the greater it's acceleration

3 You can find the mass of an object if you know it's acceleration and the forces acting on it

4 Force is equal to the product of mass and acceleration

Answers

Answer:

1. The mass will change depending on the force.

Explanation:

We know that the newton's second law of motion gives the relation between the mass (m) of an object, force (F) applied and the corresponding measure of acceleration (a) of the object. This can be expressed in the form of an equation:

                     F = ma

Thus force is the product of mass and acceleration. Using this equation we can derive mass of an object, if acceleration and force values are known.

In the given equation, mass is a constant value and mass will not change in any case. Therefore force is directly proportional to amount object will be accelerated. With the increase in force applied on object, amount the object accelerated will increase and vice versa

4 newtons, 4 amps, 4 joules, 4 watts, 4 ohms, 4 volts
what does I=

Answers

Answer:

I = 4 amperes

Explanation:

Newton is the unit of force. Hence  4 newton is not the current “I”

Joules is the unit of  energy and hence it do not signify current I

Watt is the unit of power i.e the rate of transfer of energy.

Ohm is the unit of resistance produces thereby obstructing the flow of current

And Volts is the unit of voltage or potential difference between two ends of an electric circuit. Thus, it is also does not signifies current.

Thus, I = 4 amperes
