Using coordinate geometry, prove that Quadrilateral MIKE is a Parallelogram:

Answers

Answer: It has two pairs of parallel lines

Step-by-step explanation:

coordinates of E (-4,4)  K (4,4)   M(-6,-3) I( 2,-3)

The distance from E to K is 8  the same as the distance from M to I.

The distance from M to E is  about 7.3 and the distance between K and I is the the same thing.

Answer:

Counting the unit on graph, we observes:

EK = MI = 8

EK // MI // x-axis

=> MEKI is parallelogram

Hope this helps!

a soup thay serves 16 people calls for 2 cans of chopped clams, 4 cups of chicken broth, 6 cups of milk, and 4 cups of cubed poetatoes. how much of each ingredient would you need to make an identical rexipe that serv3s 8 people? 32 people?

Answers

32 is double of 16 so you basically just double up the ingredients in which this case there would be 4 cans of chopped clams, 8 cups of chicken broth, 12 cups of milk, and 8 cups of cubed potatoes.

Product of a whole number and unit fraction for 3x3/4

Answers

Because all real numbers can be expressed as fractions, whole numbers can be too, with the denominator as 1.

e.g. 3 = 3/1

And then it works like normal multiplication

3/1 x 3/4 = (3 x 3) / (1 x 4)
               = 9/4
               = 2 and 1/4

Also for future reference, normally * (the asterix, shift + 8) is used to show multiplication on a computer, because "x" is normally used in algebra to mean something else.
I believe its 2 and 1/4

Earl needs to fill juice cups for his little brother's birthday party. There are 25 juice cups and each juice cup holds 12 fluid ounces. The juice comes in 1-gallon bottles. How many 1-gallon bottles of juice will Earl need to purchase?(1 quart = 32 fluid ounces, 1 gallon = 4 quarts)
a. 1 bottle
b. 2 bottles
c.3 bottles
d. 4 bottles

Answers

Ok so first we need to find how many fluid ounces all the cups hold in totoal.
so 25*12=300
So we have 300 ounces in the cups and 300 ounces is around 2.34 gallons. So we need 2.34 gallons to fill all the cups, and one bottle is one gallon, so if we get two bottles we have 2 gallons, which is a little under the amount we need. So we would need to buy 3 bottles (3 gallons) to have enough to drink.

Hope that helpes:) if it dosn't make sense PM me and I can try to explain better :)

One zero of f(x)=x^3-2x^2-5x+6 is 1 what are other zeros of the function

Answers

Answer:

The other zeros are -2 and 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

As 1 is a zero then (x - 1) is a factor so we divide:

x - 1 )x^3-2x^2-5x+6(x^2-x-6

        x^3-x^2

              -x^2-5x

              -x^2+x

                      -6x+6

                      -6x+6

                       ...........

x^2 - x - 6 = 0

(x - 3)(x + 2)

x = -2, 3.

Answer:

-2 and 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given one zero of f(x)=x^3-2x^2-5x+6 to be 1 this means that x-1 is a factor of the polynomial x³-2x²-5x+6

Before we can get the other two factors. We need to divide the polynomial function by x-1 and factorize the resulting quotient as shown in the attachment.

Quotient Q(x) = x²-x-6

Factorizing this function

x²-3x+2x-6 = 0

x(x-3)+2(x-3) = 0

(x+2)(x-3) = 0

x+2 = 0 and x-3 = 0

x = -2 and x= 3

Therefore the other zeros of the function are -2 and 3

Solve this system by using substitution:

y=7x-10
y=-3

Answers

lets use substitution
y=7x-10
y=-3

so
-3=7x-10
7=7x
1=x

now lets check
y=7(1)-10
y=-3

therefore both equations have the same value
