Photo above! How do I find the area of this? I'm more concerned about how to find the answer than the actual answer itself. I just need to know how to find the area

Answer 1
Answer: Well, this is how I do it. Multiply 4 and 10 and get the area of the whole thing. Answer is 40. Then, multiply 3 and 5. (I got 5 from subtracting 2 and 3 from 10). This gives me the area of the missing piece. Answer is 15. Lastly, I subracted. 40 - 15. Gave me 35. My final answer I got is 35. I hope my answer is correct! I hope this helped!
Answer 2
Answer: (2·4)+(1·5)+(3·4)=25

a.
Distance = √((x_2 - x_1)^2+(y_2 - y_1)^2)\n\n  = √(\left( -4 - \left( -5 \right) \right)^2 + \left( -2 - \left( -3 \right) \right)^2) \n \n  = √( 1 + 1) \n \n = √( 2 )

b.
Distance = √((x_2 - x_1)^2+(y_2 - y_1)^2)\n\n = \sqrt{\left( -4 - ( 7 )/( 2 ) \right)^2 + \left( ( 5 )/( 2 ) - 1 \right)^2} \n  \n= \sqrt{ ( 225 )/( 4 ) + ( 9 )/( 4 )} \n \n=  3 (√( 26 ))/( 2 )

SOLVE FOR VOLUME

Answers

Answer:

196meters^2

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for the area of a triangle is : (base*height)/(2)

To work this out you would first have to work out the area of the triangle. You can do this by multiplying the base of 14 by the height of 14, this gives you 196.

The next step is to divide the answer of 196 by 2, this gives you 98. This is because the formula is the same as that for the area of a square and that a triangle would be half of a square with the same dimensions.

The final step is to multiply 98 by the length  of 20, this gives you 1960 meters cubed.

1) Multiply 14 by 14.

14*14=196

2) Divide 196 by 2.

196/2=98

3) Multiply 98 by 20.

98*20=196meters^2

Answer:

volume = area of triangle * height = 12.124355653*14/2    *    20 = 1697.40 m3

Step-by-step explanation:

the triangle is equilateral triangle ->

a^2 = 14^2 - 7^2 = 147

-> a = 12.124355653

volume = area of triangle * height = 12.124355653*14/2    *    20 = 1697.40 m3
