What criteria deems an act to be oppressive?

Answers

Answer 1
Answer:

Limiting freedom or rights. So, if this is an essay response for which you need to argue one thing, I would choose freedom. If this a racial situation, then you can take the "rights" approach.

Think about. If everyone is allowed to get a $1 from a bucket but I don't allow you to for whatever reason, I'm taking away your freedom or right. You are being oppressed.

I hope this helps.

A short analysis effectuated relatively to the character target of the present study reveals us the eternal struggle between Good and the Evil, between nature and will. Lady Macbeth tells us about someone who is dark is also sublime. Shakespeare's persona penetrates in a dense atmosphere marked by darkness, normally fountain of fear and terror that affects the characters, determining their actions.

However, the battle, in this case, was far from more, covering of execrable characteristics it leads us to try to unveil the reasons that led Lady Macbeth to act in this way. The first reason is obviously the excessive ambition, which does not look to ways to reach the ends, and which was more orientated especially for Macbeth of which properly for her. We may be able to conclude that Lady Macbeth did wrong, but she acted for love, and that was attached to her situation of wife and to the type of conjugal relationship of her time.  Her whole attitude was of an ideal wife who does everything to provide the best to her husband, in this case, the Crown of Scotland. Her androgyny was nothing but  a stratagem to help her husband to get his intentions. Lady Macbeth despises in her husband everything that makes him weak, but she does not despise him. She stands beside him, being destroyed by him, trying till the end her dedicated wife's role.

She claims to the Dark Spirits:

"........................... Come, you spirits

That tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here,

And fill me from the crown to the toe, top-full

of direst cruelty! Make thick my blood;

Stop up th'access and passage to remorse,

That no compunctious visitings of my nature

Shake my fell purpose, nor keep peace between

Th'effect and it. Come to my woman's breasts

And take my milk for gall, you murd'ring ministers,

Wherever, in your sightless substances,

You wait on nature's mischief. Come, thick night,

And paíl thee in the dunnest smoke of Hell,

That my keen knife see not the wound it makes,

Nor Heaven peep through the blanket of the dark

To cry, "Hold, hold."

He finally commits horrific deeds due to his initial moral turmoil, which is motivated by his ambition and the witches' forecasts. He first hesitates to kill King Duncan, but once Lady Macbeth convinces him to do so, he gives in to his ambition and cruelty, which results in Duncan's death.

After the murder, Macbeth's guilt and paranoia worsen, making him more vicious and paranoid. He hires killers to kill Banquo and his son Fleance, and his obsessive desire for power consumes him.

Why does my vote matter essay and I don't have the time to do it

Answers

Voting and democracy is very important in a nation because it provides people an opportunity to voice their opinion and vote for what they believe in, it holds elected officials accountable for their behavior while in office, and it prevents a minority from dictating the policies of a majority. History, as well as the US government today, proves the importance of voting and democracy.

Voting and democracy in a nation allows people to participate in their government. People have the opportunity to vote for what they believe in. In Greece, the Athenian government was run by a direct democracy. Citizens voted directly for proposed bills and certain decisions. Their voting system was different from what we have today in the USA, but was still effective in allowing citizens to have a say. Voting was also used in Roman times and is used today as well. In order for voting to be successful, the citizens of the nation must be educated. If voters are educated on the policies they are voting for, they will understand the possible outcomes of various policies and therefore will make better decisions. For example, the Athenians voted for things like whether or not they should go to war and where a new building should be built. Because boys were educated at a young age in Athens, they were capable of making informed decisions regarding such topics. Athens’ educated population and strong democracy led them to become a powerful nation.
