What are the 3 main factors that affect climate?

Answers

Answer 1
Answer:
Altitude

Temperatures decrease with height. The air is less dense and cannot hold heat as easily.

Winds

If winds are warm - they have been blown from a hot area - they will raise temperatures. If winds have been blown from cold areas they will lower temperatures.

Distance from the sea (continentality)

Land heats and cools faster than the sea. Therefore coastal areas have a lower temperature range than those areas inland. On the coast winters are mild and summers are cool. In inland areas temperatures are high in the summer and cold in the winter.

Aspect

Slopes facing the sun are warmer than those that are not. Thus south facing slopes in the northern hemisphere are usually warm. However, slopes facing north in the southern hemisphere are warmest.

The "agricultural revolution" was the enclosing of land to produce smaller estates and smaller profits.a. True
b. False

Answers

The correct answer is B.

During the agricultural revolution, societies experienced great progress in their productive capacity.  They increased the number of cultivated plants, improved their genetic qualities and revolutionized agricultural techniques with the adoption of more efficient methods and tools for soil preparation, transport and storage of crops.

Irrigation and soil fertilization techniques were developed, which ensured increasingly abundant harvests, and as a consequence, higher profits.

The agricultural revolution in this context (that is, in the context of 18th century, not the Neolithic Revolution) was the opposite: it was a revolution that lead to bigger estates and bigger profits. It also resulted in some smaller farmers loosing their land and becoming more impoverished.

this is false.
