Is 6/11 greater than or less than or equal to 9/10

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: less just cross mutiply it helps me out alot to do that Update: sorry I did that wrong I think it is greater than actually
Answer 2
Answer: Normally to compare 2 fractions, I would say to find a common denominator so you can compare them directly, however on this problem we can just use a little common sense to figure it out...

Look at 6/11.  6 is approximately half of 11 so 6/11 is approximately 1/2.  Now look at 9/10.  If 10/10 is one whole, 9/10 is approximately 1.

So you can look and see that 6/11 < 9/10 because 1/2 < 1

Explain 1 way to add 3 digit numbers

Answers

adding two three digit numbers (for example 529 + 733) involves several steps.Place one number above the other so that the hundreds, tens and ones places are lined up. Draw a line under the bottom number.529733Add the ones place digits (9 + 3 = 12). This number is larger than 10 so place a one above the tens place column and place the two below the line in the ones place column. 1529733  2Add the tens place digits (1 + 2 + 3 = 6) and place the answer below the line and in the tens place column.529733 62Add the numbers in the hundreds place column (5 + 7 = 12) and place the 2 below the line and before the other number below the line. a linear equation that shows how
much Isabella spent, y, at the gym in x
months.
If Isabella keeps her membership
for 6 months, how much does she
end up paying the gym?
What is the equation

Answers

Answer:

$200

y=25x+50

Step-by-step explanation:

y=25(6)+50

y=150+50

y=200

Answer:

y = 25x +50

She would pay y = 25(6) + 50 = y = 150 + 50 or $200 in total, including the initiation fee.

60 divided by 53.4. how to get the answere

Answers

60/ 53.4 = 60/ (53 4/10) = 60/(534/10) = (60/1)/(534/10) = (60/1) x (10/534) = (60 x 10)/(1 x 534) = 600/534 = 100/89 = about 1.12
sixty divided by 53.4 would be 1.12

What is the definition of an angle?

Answers

An angle is defined as the figure, in which two rays meet at a common point called the vertex.

What is an Angle

Angles are formed when two lines intersect at a point. The measure of the 'opening' between these two rays is called an 'angle'. It is represented by the symbol ∠. Angles are usually measured in degrees and radians, which is a measure of circularity or rotation. In geometry, an angle is formed when two rays are joined at their endpoints. These rays are called the sides or arms of the angle. Let us read about the different parts of an angle.

There are two main parts related to an angle - the arms and the vertex. Vertex is a common endpoint that is shared by the two rays. Observe the figure in which the vertex O is marked as the joining point of the two arms.

An angle is measured in degrees. One full rotation around a point forms a complete angle of 360°.

The function y=3.5x+2.8 represents the cost in y ( dollars ) of a taxi ride of x miles. You have enough money to travel at most 20 miles in the taxi. Find the domain and range of the function. I don't understand how to get both the domain and range at the same time.

Answers

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The domain of a function is the set of elements for which the function is defined. In other words, the domain is the range of values of x for which the function exists, that is, it has a result.

"x" in this case represents the number of miles traveled by taxi. If the passenger has enough money to travel a maximum of 20 miles, the domain will be:

Domain = {0 ≤ x ≤ 20}

On the other hand, the image is the range of values of the function for which there is a value of x. In other words, it is the set of values of the variable "y" that is obtained when evaluating in the function all the possible values of x.

In this case the function "y" is evaluated at both ends to determine the range of variation of the image:

In x=0 → y=3.5*0 + 2.8 → y= 2.8

In x=20 → y=3.5*20 + 2.8 → y= 72.8

So,the range of the function is between $2.8 and $72.8

Range = {2.8 ≤ y ≤ 72.8}
