The Japanese Americans especially on the west coast were treated badly during the war. Who was responsible for this treatment? What has been done since to atone for it? Is there any correlation between this atonement and the current slave reparation argument?

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: Hi Flutiee!

During WWII, Japanese Americans on the west coast states were placed in internment camps after the bombing of Pearl Harbor by the U.S. Government in fear that they would collaborate with the Japanese forces.  After the war was over, many of the Japanese Americans were still discriminated against, since Americans were still mad and weary of them.  However, Congress approved for $20,000 to be payed to each surviving camp member in 1988, over 40 years afterwards.

For the last part of the question, many argue that a correlation can be made, since it was the U.S. government who originally allowed slavery to be maintained.

Central and state governments influence each other in a unitary system. federal system. confederal system. democratic system.

Answers

Federal System

Further Explanation:

In the Federal system, there is a sharing of powers between the State government and the Centre government. Both state governments and the central governments enjoy concurrent powers, as well as exclusive powers and this distribution of powers, helps both these governments to explain the division of powers properly among them.

Article 4 of the constitution of the United States has clearly stated the division of powers between the States and the Centre and what responsibilities the states should have towards each other and what responsibilities the center should have towards States. According to section 1 or Article 4 of the constitution, the States should respect the judicial verdicts and proceedings of the other state. For instance, if a person has committed a crime in one state and has moved to the other state then that person will be considered as criminal in that second state also and judicial proceedings against him will follow according to law.

Answers

Answer:

Under the Dawes Act of 1887, if indigenous people accepted the provisions, they could obtain individual land ownership and U.S. citizenship. The act aimed to assimilate Native Americans into mainstream American society by dividing communal tribal lands into individual allotments.
